I knew they made a 400 GT, but I didn't know about the 400 GT Monza.

Very Maserati-like. Good lookin' car!

I'd devalue the hell out of that car.

Ah yes, the 400GT Monza. I too discovered this a few months back.

Who styled it? It looks very much like an Iso Grifo/Bizarrinni.

Talk about sleek. Makes those Miuras in the background look like matchbox cars.

mmmm, Monza...

Didn't even make it to my bunk ..

I don't think I like this. Too much vertical space and not enough rise on the fenders. I think it looks unbalanced.

There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.
And can can a man with the Last name of Bacon be wrong?

Excellent point! Bacon is king, Bacon rules all. I should have remembered my History 111.

Miura aside, I still like the Ghibli quite a bit.

That's one of the sexiest cars I've ever seen...wow!

So, I read this story and click the backstory link and whammo, my Gmail inbox gets hit with with an email from never-before heard of "Car Pricing Expert." I suspect this is not coincidence.

interesting. Its motortrend.com, not some bogus site. Weird.

I'm going to agree. The first picture grabbed my attention, but the side view looks like a beautiful car that got stretched out in Photoshop. Certainly not a bad looking car, just not as nice as the first impression.

You're right, didn't notice that. I guess it could be coincidence, but Occam's razor and whatnot.

Yeah.
I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't put money down on it, either. Color me boring, but I'll take a more traditional, bulgy-rear look, please.

I think Octane ran a story on this car several years ago. It was a one-off and was barn-found fairly recently. Interesting, but to my eyes its far from the best-looking Lambo

Read the original story on this back when it was first discovered. Such great luck that one of the rarest and prettiest Lamborghini's ever was found after everyone had thought that it was lost forever. If I could only ever own one Lamborghini ever in my life, it would be this one.

I really love the flying buttress design on this. It's interesting that Neri and Bonacini did this little styling cue when the only other car in the House of the Raging Bull that had that was the then new Miura. At the same time, this has become something of a Lamborghini trademark over the years with an overwhelming majority of their cars having it.

Giorgio Neri and Luciano Bonacini who were also responsible or the Ferrari Nembo Spyder.

IMO, that long, low, elongated look is one of the best things about it. It's also one of the things that reminds you of its history as a one off concept car based on the artistic vision of Giorgio Neri and Luciano Bonacini and not some production model, and long, low and sleek has always been a trademark of the two (compare the Nembo Spyder the Ferrari 250GT that spawned it).

Very Nice! Are they also responsable for the NART spyder?
![]() 02/13/2014 at 11:50 |
|
Nope, the NART was the work of Sergio Scaglietti.

How does it have a columbo? I did not think any lambos had Ferrari engines.
